Evelia Headshots

First off let me just say that the term headshots sounds rather violent.  I assure you no one was harmed in the making of these images.  Earlier this week I got together with Evelia Gonzalez.  She is majoring in theater this year and needed some pictures taken.  I of course gladly agreed, so we both braved 106 degree temps and blinding sun to get some really great images.  Enjoy:

Jake+Kelsey

The other day I went up to Quaker Meadows with two really good friends, Jake and Kelsey to take some fun couples pictures.  It was a blast.  They were naturals which made things a lot easier for me.  I love the dynamic between these two, silly and full of energy which make for really great pictures.  Plus I loved their wardrobe choice especially Kelsey's flapper hat and boots:

Details on Locations

Detail shots are one of the funnest things to capture.  Why?  Because you get to choose what's highlighted!!  Out of all the minuscule everyday things and objects around, you get to pick some of them to showcase.  Chances are most people would never have taken the time to look at things that closely but your photo gives them that opportunity.  Long story short, i was running around today taking location photos for a photo shoot I'm planning.     I got a lot of really fun and interesting pics of fences, basketball hoops and such.  Enjoy:

Epic Week: Updates and Inspiration

Well this week has been pretty exciting and a little hectic for me.  I just published my new website...which you can see here.  It is such a relief to finally be done with it and to have a website that i'm proud to look at!  Thanks to everyone for your support and special thanks to my facebook connections for checking out my site and taking an interest in my photography.

Being a relatively new photographer I find it extremely helpful to look at the works of other photographers to find ideas and inspiration.  It's such an easy thing to do.  You can look through magazines, billboards, advertisements in stores, and photography websites.  Inspiration is everywhere!  But the places I go most to get the creative juices flowing are blogs (don't worry i'm not trying to hype up my own lol).  Not only do you have access to amazing images, but you are able to tap into a valuable resource, the photographer's brain.  There are tips and advice that is invaluable if you plan on developing your interest in photography, maturing it into something marketable.  So today i thought i would share some of the photographers and blogs I follow (all of which are amazing!):

These blogs are full of tips and insight and I draw a lot of inspiration from them, but these are just a few! I encourage you to seek out other blogs.

I'll close with this image that I really love.  It came out so well that I just have to share it:

Woo Hoo Polaroids!

So I just recently discovered this awesome Polaroid generator.  It's so cool that it gets a little addictive.  Of course I went overboard and here are a few resulting images:

Hawaiian BBQ!

My sisters and I had the house all to ourselves this weekend.  No parents!! So of course we threw a wild party!!  There was underage drinking and drunken brawls broke out and the cops had to come and break it up.  Crazy!  I'm just kidding we're far too mature for that kind of thing.  We actually kept it classy and decided to have a Hawaiian BBQ.  It was really fun and the food was great.  New realization.  I love jasmine rice.  It's so good.  Anyway i really loved how the detail shots came out so here are a few from the day:

My sister lexy took the following pictures!  I was grill master so shooting was difficult.

I chose this picture because you can't see my face.  I was unshaven and slovenly at the time so I had to preserve my image haha.
